Modern Baroque Floral Painting

My love of the Baroque art with the lavish gold ornate details inspired this modern take on a classical design. I love the thick texture of palette knife and the feeling of abundance and wealth created by the ornate gold found in art of that particular period, so I combined these elements together for a modern take on Baroque and Impressionism. The chiaroscuro technique refers to the interplay between light and dark that was often used in Baroque paintings of dimly lit scenes to produce a very high-contrast, dramatic atmosphere. Famous painters of the Baroque era include Rubens, Caravaggio, and Rembrandt. Here I mix my favorite elements in a modern way to bring a contemporary twist with lovely elements of the past. The work comes ready to hang d-rings and wire in place. It can be framed or hung like you see it. Lighting in both natural and indoor with a warm hue looks fantastic with the light catching all the gold details.
