This mod nude series developed as I was experimenting with deconstructing the figure, and playing with graphic shapes. My style in the past was fairly representational, therefore to grow in my art I felt the need to go in the other direction. My background as a fashion designer led me towards creating the figure as a design element. This is an original ink painting on heavyweight textured Italian watercolor paper. All done freehand with a brush, I don't like to use rulers. Many layers to create a velvety black on ivory paper.
