About The Artwork
This beautiful triptych that is listed individually exhibited at the Momentum Art show at Keystone Art Space Summer '23. The work in Momentum is not only about motion within the art but applying the idea of achieving Jim Collins’ “flywheel effect” which may occur as an artist accumulates small wins over time. This constant dance of creating and sharing artwork to the world - our attempt to build enough momentum to allow the euphoric effect to take place and go full circle. The soft colors have pops of gold foil and the high gloss resin finish reminds viewers of stain glass with a modern mid century twist. This style is the newest iteration of Mary's Abstract Dancer Series.

Mary Lai is a multifaceted Korean-American artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her outlook is that “Art is a universal language that can speak to anyone” and her dreamer mindset is reflected in her vibrant contemporary artwork that aims to uplift and evoke emotion. Her scope of work includes paintings, mixed media art, digital art to large-scale murals and sculptures. She has a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and prior to her visual art journey, the seasoned designer built a career in New York for over a decade as a fashion accessories designer, including an award-winning namesake handbag collection. With over 20 years of art and design experience, Lai has worked with several notable brands including W Hotel, HBO Max, Vayner x St. Jude, American Express, SXSW, NBA Lakers/InThePaint, Snapchat and more. She has exhibited at leading art fairs & galleries worldwide and continues to explore what it means to create and curate art with impact.
