VIEW IN MY ROOM
This 3ft x 3ft mandala painting depicts hundreds of multi-coloured butterflies, repeated and overlapping in spirals. These butterfly mandala paintings speak to the self and the circle in Jungian psychology. Carl Jung described a ‘universal instinct’, inherent in all of human kind, of a need for self-fulfillment and self-reflection. He also linked the three fields: psychology, alchemy and religion, determining that the self ⦿ is the link that binds all three.
