Monster Painting

Evil rears it's ugly head. It's a the face of evil. Money over safety seems to be en vogue. A conundrum. So often it's guns in the wrong hands. I did a similar painting in "Guns all over my bitch" I feel there is more power here than in most places. This is art and it's meant to move and to make you feel and to talk. Isn't that what it's supposed to do? Isn't it supposed to have a reason? It's not it's only purpose, I know, but it's important. Grab on to that or get some fucking trees I don't know. Art is meant to stir emotions not just sit there and be nothing. It’s meant to make you feel. To hurt. To sooth. To learn. To help. To inspire. “Monster” is meant to do all those things. To help you believe that there has got to be a better way. I believe that the gun laws are a direct response to money. Not safety or against safety. Just money. And that my friends is bullshit. Automatic weapons are illegal to sell and buy but “bump stocks” are not? Yeah that’s an obvious going around the law. Disturbingly blatant and dangerous.... I’m coming for you!!! Through art!!! Please look at each piece separate. Each piece has its own identity. It's own characteristics. Every stroke is different. Almost every idea is a big change from the one before and the one ahead of it. I am a conceptual artist. Sometimes it's a film and sometimes it's a drawing of a pigeon on a dirty, broken, backboard. Whatever I am feeling at the time I have to go run and paint or write. I think of an image and get it down on paper or canvas 70-95% of what was in my head. Be Original. Nicholas Conlon
