View in a Room ArtworkView in a Room Background
This work, inspired by the lyrical compositions of the overlapping graffiti passages and advertisements of Paris- comprised of various painted popular culture elements including sign lettering, pattern and shapes arranged in a quasi cubist manner with overlapping rudimentary contours. This "stacking" of forms, as well as color and scale relationships create an artificial space that reads like a theatre set, inviting a narrative interaction with the viewer.
It is comprised of three 36" square cradled panels (wood panel mounted to a wood frame like a stretched canvas) the profile is 1 3/4" and is finished so there is no need for framing.
