A painting of a child in her mother's arms, this is the first painting after i moved to New York in 2015. Done in the studio of Kristofer Giordano located in the Navy Yard area before i took over the space. this painting was done in 1 session. but varnish was put on some of the blacks in 2017. Best seen in low lighting for depth. i show it with a warm incandecent bulb from a small lamp. warmer than 3500 for sure. maybe 2500. i don't plan my paintings. i can tell i'm going to do something like this when i start gathering earth tones around me. I do hope this reminds viewers that the impossible is possible that many of us have been here before, that we'll be here again. That some children have a perspective on the world that's vastly different, and when they mention it to their parents they get taken to the mental hospital. This is an ounce of water in the eternal war against death. Cubism is a sign ...a warning...that me and my friends are messengers...and what we bear is more violent than any weapon, more painful than any illness, we are the unbelieved and we bear the truth.
