The art work titled 'Mother and Foxtrot' is a unique piece that captures the bond between two unlikely companions. The mother stands next to Foxtrot, a long haired fox that has been artfully crafted using vintage hair and a 3D hair clip made with peels of dried acrylic paint. She has golden set hair, piercing blue eyes and a long neck dressed in a pink polo neck. Foxtrot is the perfect companion with big ears and stands faithfully beside her. The art piece was created by taking an old art board then painting the background with a multitude of colours, this was then dried and overlayed in black paint which was finally taken with a Lino cutter to scrape away the top layer of black, revealing the underneath colour. The next layer of the background was getting a watercolour marker and creating circles within the scraps of the board. I hope you agree but I loved the effect. Mother and Foxtrot is a heartwarming piece that captures the bond between a mother and her loyal companion. As the art piece draws you in, it captures the eye and sparks a creative thought of remembrance and connection - an art piece that artfully encapsulates the close bond. From the mother’s piercing blue eyes and golden set hair adorned with a 3D hair clip, to the Foxtrot’s long pointy ears and stare, this art piece oozes a vintage charm. For me this is a gentle embrace of love and tenderness between them, this art piece portrays a beautiful and timeless moment between a mother and her beloved furry friend, frozen in art form forever.

I never really know what to write, or even how to talk about myself especially when it comes to ones own topic. So I will keep this brief. I am a UK-based artist who earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Communication from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in 1998. I travelled a lot, lived in Australia , which was my home for 7 years. Moved back to the UK and subsequently moved around the Southcoast area such as Brighton, Lymington, Southampton, Isle of Wight until settling back to Bournemouth. I became a Teacher in 2002, and taught Design and Art at Brockenhurst College for 6 years. In 2016 I went to college and studied counselling and received a diploma in art therapy. During my training, I had a small business in Pokedown for three years, in which I sold and exhibited Art, made coffees and sold Vintage clothing with my dear friend Rob. This is where I started my Art therapy workshops for several charities and non profit organisations., such as B'EAT, BCHA, Richmond Fellowship, Rise and so on. I have been fortunate to have exhibited work in locations across UK , including Brighton where I lived for several years, Bournemouth and London, I also exhibited my work at Brush Gallery in Singapore. Over the years I have sold many works to collectors around the world. One particular piece is owned by a well-known figure from the band The Jam. I was fortunate to have also worked on several commissioned works for branding US reality shows such as Gas Monkey, and Orange County Choppers. I have also worked with record labels such as Azuli records and generated album covers for Space Ibiza. In the last few years I have been primarily focusing on painting and exploring my own creative techniques. Playing on the quirky and whimsical narrative and utilising my intuition when it comes to creating my pieces. I do not like to limit my style, but rather I see it as a journey of self-expression. I love combining textures and blending vivid colours together, and most of the time I have no idea where the final piece will take me, I just tend to carry on till I say 'It's Done..' Once again Thank you for visiting my Saatchi Studio. . I am available for commissions, exhibitions and purchases. If you want to ask me anything please use the contact page. I will be happy to discuss anything ( well not anything ) you understand what I mean ..
