About The Artwork

"Voyage Immobile" is a work inspired by several poets such as Verlaine, Malarmé... The painter is deeply attracted by the roundness of these iron machines. The New York Central Railroad (NYC), commonly known as New York Central in its advertisements, was an American railroad operating in the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada. Its main connections were New York (Grand Central Terminal), Chicago and Boston. "Voyage immobile" is a title that sticks with the work because the train is immobilized but all the same it invites us to travel.
