'Mouche des Fruits (Fruit Fly)' is a painting from a collection called 'Nature Fragile', that documents my response to the devastating impact of human beings on the natural world. The painting shows a shrinking circle of light that is slowly being enveloped by absolute darkness. It is the last breath of nature, as the Chinese Lanterns wilt and the fruit fly fades into memory. A tipping point has been reached, and there is a last chance to see and react to the scene before it is lost.
