ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When I moved to the Pacific Northwest I was mesmerized by the beauty found in nature all around me. We drove through the Cascade Mountains and along the side of the road you can find these beautiful scenes that looked to me like somewhere fairies would live. Trickling waterfalls down rich, mossy green rocks and tree roots clinging to the mountain sides captivated me and inspired me to create this piece. I was pregnant with my son at the time it was created and painting this lush, thriving landscape was powerful for me as new life grew and flourished inside me.
