Contact us.arbara Puto is a Polish contemporary painter based in Warsaw, working in oil, acrylic and watercolor. Her practice explores the mechanisms that shape living systems and human identity, translating processes observed in nature, individual experience and relationships into painterly structures.
Her work moves between observation and introspection. Rather than reproducing the appearance of a phenomenon, she is interested in the principles by which it operates — how structures emerge, absorb external influences, transform, constrain and eventually reorganise themselves. This approach connects her ongoing Microcosm series, inspired by self-organising processes in nature, with her more recent paintings exploring identity, conditioning, freedom and human relationships.
Puto’s works have been presented in curated solo and group exhibitions in Poland and internationally, in galleries, cultural institutions and public spaces. Her paintings are held in private collections in Europe and the United States.
In 2025, she received a Certificate of Artistic Achievement from the Luxembourg Art Prize. Her work has since received further international distinctions and finalist selections, including recognition from Light Space & Time and Blue Koi Gallery, and has been published in Visual Art Journal in the UK.
Alongside her artistic practice, Puto has pursued a long professional career in the energy sector. She holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. She is also the author of Business Is Art, a series of articles exploring the relationship between art, creativity and management.
