"I bow to the divine in you." Namaste The spiritual meaning of Namaste is when a person greets another with the intention of paying obedience to the soul of the other person. Namaste creates a loop of bliss, which passes positive energy onto the recipient. "Nama” means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means, "I bow to you." Namaste is a yoga teacher who heals with the power of her heart chakra. Women are naturally giving, powerful beings, embodying all that the heart chakra represents. Red symbolizes fire and blood, war, danger, power, determination, passion, desire and love; all things that Namaste seeks to pay obedience to as a feminine healer. Her hands gesture ‘Anjali Mudra,’ a Sanskrit word that connects the practitioner with spirituality, promotes respect for oneself and others, and connects both hemispheres of the brain. " –Alevtina Caravona When the heart is fully centered and your chakras are aligned, your mind is said to by fully withdrawn into your ‘super consciousness,’ which is based at the center of your spine. Only then are you in your ideal or casual body – a level of perfection where your soul resides. Artist’s inspiration: As a woman, I understand the desire to heal others. I have practiced yoga for over a decade, and believe in the power of energy work. Your hands hold a natural healing power, something I wanted to pay tribute to with use of oil painting. I chose to represent Namaste not only by gesture, but also through the colours red and white. Red, the heart chakra, is an emotionally intense colour, which represents physical and emotional survival. This played perfectly into Namaste’s pure intention to heal others. I also used the color white, representing the purity of Namaste’s intentions, as well as it symbolizing the purity of your soul. Women tend to desire perfection, something I can relate to in many facets of my life.
