"Nero su bianco" Painting

I was born in 1979 and I am an artist based in Catania, Italy.
Since I was a child, I revealed natural tendency to the Art in all its expressions, strongly supported by my parents which in turn were painters and poets.
During my law studies, which led me to graduation, I also began my artistic journey as a self-taught, having abstract expressionism and conceptual art as fundamental references, but also the great Masters df the italian twentieth century: first of all, Giorgio Morandi.
My personal research combines my interests for the classical culture, the philosophy and the music, giving them a visual form and an artistic interpretation, with the painting and the plastic arts: especially ready-made, assemblages and installations. In detail, my attention is paid to the antinomic and paradoxical aspects of reality and existence, which are investigated with ironic disenchantment.
I prefer the use of a minimal palette in painting, preferring the use of white and the black, functional to an essentiality chosen as an expressive, aesthetic and conceptual feature.
The technical execution follows an expressive logic manifest in the choice of colors and materials (often recycled) giving the works a conceptuality not immediate, but intuitive.
