Schon als Kind und Jugendliche erhielt ich von meinem Vater, der unter anderem als Restaurator und Schildermaler tätig war eine handwerkliche Grundausbildung. In meiner Jugendzeit kopierte ich zunächst Bilder von Kirchner, Franz Marc und van Gogh, bevor ich dann meinen eigenen künstlerischen Weg einschlug. Diverse Kurse und autodidaktische Weiterbildung bildeten die Grundlage für eine Lehrtätigkeit im Fach Bildende Kunst in der gymnasialen Unterstufe. Meine vielfältigen Reisen durch Europa, USA, Asien, Afrika, Australien und Neuseeland und meine Studienfächer Mathematik und Politikwissenschaft liefern die Themen für meine Gemälde.
