About The Artwork

My latest abstract series Neurorehabilitation began during a very complicate chapter of my life, while toward the end of my last pregnancy I was diagnosed with a serious spinal problem. I began a long neuro-rehabilitation programme, working on my lost mobility and stimulating both sides of the brain, especially the left one, my weak point, in continuous conflict with the right one, centre of creativity so predominant for me. So I started painting using both hands while painting, in order to reactivate both sides of the brain, also leaving the usual brush-palette scheme to expand the range of instruments and materials to recycled and sustainable scrap raw materials.

"All my decisions come from wanting to make art for the rest of my life" Born in Lucca, 5 February 1982, she got the Art High School degree with first class honours in Lucca in 2000, working in the meantime in a restauration studio specialized in the renovation of antique buildings in Lucca. After attending the Art Academy in Florence she moves to Rome where she gets her Marketing degree at La Sapienza University in Rome, while continuing her personal artistic path. She attends a human anatomy course held by one of the most important Italian designers known worldwide, Simone Bianchi, and a course for exhibitions management in Rome, with the association Futuro 2000, and through this experience she gets in contact with the most important roman artistic figures, between which the artist-photographer Massimo Attardi. This is the begin of a precious cultural exchange that is still ongoing nowadays, and that will help and head her towards the photography world. She attended lots of photography, editing softwares courses and photography workshops, including one with the great photography master Franco Fontana, with whom she started a wonderful collaboration. The interest for art, painting and photography brings her to participate to many art prizes and competitions, also extemporary ones, of national and international level (such as the Arte Laguna Prize and the Yicca competition), that allow her to carry out the production of many different subjects also in a very short time of execution. She has a studio in Tuscany, in Lucca, and one in Australia, in Port Macquarie.
