The Moselle river flows since prehistoric times on these lands where people have built bridges and churches. A kayaker passes under the gaze of a heron standing on the bank. This painting is full of symbols such as : the passing time (through water that links us to the past time) or the sport as new temple of contemporary humanity. The light on the trees in front of the temple and the presence of the heron reminds us that life will still proceed after our vanities would vanished. The bridge is a link that gives rise to the hope of a world in harmony between humankind cultures and nature.
