This work is the second of a triptych dedicated to the night. We see a woman plunged into darkness, lit by the cold light of her smartphone, sitting in a room dimly lit by the warm light of a street lamp. By looking more closely, we understand that the woman is not alone but that she is observed by an someone outside of the room, whose shadow can be seen behind balcony bars, at the top right corner. So we have a character who spies on the outside world through her phone window, and a character who spies on an interior scene through the real window of an apartment: both are night "stalkers" ...

This painting is an original artwork made in mixed technique on canvas. It combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (many layers of transparent glaze and varnish as well as squares painted in relief). The painting is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 65 x 50 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 80 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
