ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The idea for this painting came from a photo I took of my daughter playing on the beach at New Brighton, Liverpool (UK). It was a sunny day but the water was very cold though she really didn't care and although there were lots of families on the beach she was the only person in the water at that time. On the other side of the river to the beach are Liverpool docks and it's quite strange to be playing on the beach but looking at huge vessels coming, going and being loaded and unloaded. I wanted to show my daughters care-free attitude in the face of the huge ships and cranes.
