ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The linear forms in this painting are inspired by mystical symbols that translate into invented narratives. These lyrical abstract compositions are spontaneous by nature and inspired by my dreams and memories of my past experiences. Symbolism like geometric crystal forms are repeated through layers of intricate lines of atmospheric mark making that resemble forms found in nature. This painting is made with gouache, watercolor and acrylic on a 9" x 12" stretched canvas that has been prepared with a traditional gesso ground of marble plaster. The edges have a 1 3/4" profile, are gallery wrapped (no staples) and finished so no frame is required.
