ORANGE MIND Painting

Virginie, contemporary artist. Since my early age, I was introduced to the Art World due to the fact that my mother is a professional painter. I had the chance of being mentored by my school art teacher, Serge Gouin who is a trained sculptor and managed to take part in expositions at the international level. Afterward, I studied fashion design at Marie-Victorin College. With this formation, I had the opportunity to acquire the technical skills to fulfill another one of my passion: Couture. I’ve been on many trips around the World, where I visited numerous museum and artists of various styles during my stays. These rewarding experiences contributed to add to my passion for arts in all its form. My inspiration often comes from the different representation that women body can portray. For the creation of my pieces, I use several technics including impression on vinyl canvas and photo collages. This combination of photography and painting gives an interesting mix of texture and contrast. Other than that I use acrylic as a medium in order to produce colorful and vivid creations.
