She is a contemporary landscape artist. Also a close observer who analyzes changes in nature, questions them critically, documents them and makes the observer aware of them in her works. Her intensive occupation with the styles of the Renaissance and the development of the central perspective is tangible in each of her paintings, prints and drawings, as well as the influence of Dutch landscape painting of the 17th century. In an impressive way, however, she transfers tradition to the present. Using superimposed grids, she constructs wide, man-made landscapes with mostly deep-set horizons, moving between reality and fiction and often taking a position on the increasing appropriation of analogue reality by the digital image. For her work on contemporary landscape, she has repeatedly been awarded prizes and grants: 2021 with a working grant from the Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn, a project grant NEUSTART KULTUR from the BBK Bundesverband Berlin and the Beauftragte of the Bundesregierung for Culture and Media, Berlin, the Pfalzpreis for Fine Arts in the categorie of Painting 2018 and the Wilhelm–Morgner–Preis in the category of Painting 2016. She regularly exhibits in national and international museums, galleries, art associations and art fairs. Much of her work is in public and private collections in Germany, Canada, Japan and the USA.
