Continuing my focus on post war Syria/Bosnia and other areas of conflict. I have been preoccupied by what people who have suffered loss and devastation remember of their previous lives. This is the initial starting point which complements my ongoing concerns about perception. We only see a small portion of reality and remember even less.Memory itself is unreliable; in that the same event can be revisited many times and each and every time there will inevitably be change ; sometimes loss and sometimes embellishment occurs. My painting is about these things and is a form of acknowledgement of our flawed humanity.
