Y un día se enamoró profundamente con tal pasión que ese amor la llevó a la locura , sin sospechar siquiera que a través de ese sentir llegaría a ver la oscuridad para siempre, dejando sólo amargura y sangre alrededor.

Juan was born in 1966 and discovered quite early his passion for creation. At first he professionalized his passion in being a draughtsman for technical design and later for patterns for fashion. As a son of a steelworker a career in environment of fine arts was not precisely that what a father whished for his son to be in. But his passion was pioneering: by passing so to say ‚practical‘ professions such as decorator for shopping windows and decorator for shopping malls (1995) he financed his life for to be able to study at the school for fine arts ‚Da Vinci‘ in Barcelona. His inclination for japanese philosophy (beside his classes for japanese ceramic art and pottery) within other links leaded even to a collaboration with Masaru Emoto, who also is kind of responsible that Juan Hidalgo Tarancón dedicated his work to focus water. ‚Also‘, because the main impact therefor was the world exhibition of Zaragoza with its topic on water, which inspired him to work about that topic as well. In his creations Juan is using a particular style of mixed techniques, rooted on one hand in traditional picturing creation by giving at the same time embossments on linen, a flexible ground. The link between mankind and water is what marks his artwork, where mankind for instance left footprints in borderline to water. At first sight with his realistic creations he takes an even simple public at the hand and leads them to the fine arts. On an more profound observations there ist always enough space for the fantasy of the beholder for any kind of interpretation between the lines. One day you see footprints like of a barefoot walk in the sand, next day it may seem to you as a naked walking couple was leaving prints at the seaside, naked and therefor vulnerable; is it in paradise or ist it a kind of wreckage, strandet in the frame here on the gallery‘s wall, just saving there bare lifes? Every day the beholding of Juan‘s artworks is telling a different story, which leaves the spectator curiously and interested. These artworks were shown for two month on location of StaTTmuseum in Cologne, Germany, on behalf of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of brothership between Cologne and Barcelona. Juan was invited artist at the collective exhibition with the title ‚Spanish Gardens‘ at Frauenmuseum (women‘s museum) in Bonn (Germany). Juan Hidalgo Tarancón is decorated with the medal of honor of AEFE Arte 2006 by the European Parliament, given in Barcelona.
