About The Artwork

This is the one of the most popular places in the world. Manhattan always attracts the tourists, photographers and artists, making them want to capture its dynamics of life. Looking through the materials of that time I figured out that the spirit and rhythm of that era remained only in photographs and films. One of my favorite Hitchcock films is Rope. The film takes place indoors. Meanwhile, we can see how’s getting dark behind the window while the storyline has been developed. They skillfully showed us how dusk gradually deepened and the lights of skyscrapers turned on. The rhythm of the city is woven into the plot, and I can’t help but wonder what’s going on on the street? The life of metropolis goes on as usual and there may be a drama can happen behind any window. Its own struggle between good and evil. However, this city is an entire living organism. Buildings, cars and of course people make up and fill this city. That's why we like New York.

Born in 1978. I became seriously interested in watercolor as a teenager. I drew everything that surprised me with great enthusiasm. Later, I received additional art education. I graduated from the Shakhty Art School. This gave me understanding and skills in working in various techniques and materials, but the desire for watercolor only intensified. For many years I have devoted time to creativity with varying degrees of strength. Usually, my works were distributed as gifts. My friends managed to convince me that I should put all my efforts into creativity. I listened to their wishes and for the last 2 years I have been constantly drawing. In my work, I like to experiment. For me, drawing is always a challenge and a desire to reflect the depth of space, to convey the play of light without losing the brightness of colors. I think I manage to make the work light and bright by working with the details to the best of my ability. I strive for a balance between the magic of impressionism and realism.
