ABOUT THE ARTWORK
There is mystery in this work. Nothing is revealed entirely and the viewer is invited to imagine the stories that are told during the journey across the canvas. I have used layers of medium and oil paint to create texture. This enhances the play of light and dark and further adds to the balance between clear sight and suggestion. I am forever inspired by the work of Hughie O'donough, Anslem Keifer, Peter Booth and Adrienne Gaha.
