ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the second of a series of four paintings. The art work was creating in response to a difficult period in which I lived. My frustration over many facets of my life let me to release my anger, sadness and joy on the canvas. As I was creating all four pieces at the same time, I was working on the mixed of color in relation with space and depth, which I saw as the different moods I lived in the moment. All colors have their specific function in relation with the next. I name this one number 2, because it shows the middle of the process in correlation and juxtaposition to the one before in the series.

Carlos Buitrago is a fine artist living and working in Los Angeles. He was born in 1972 in Bogotá, Colombia. He studied illustration at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. His illustrations have been published in different magazines and newspapers, and a lot of his work has been sold to private buyers. In 2011 he moved to Colombia, South America where he grew into a new style and grapped a better understanding of Colombian art, and his roots which you can see in all of his current work. Since moving back to Los Angeles from South America, Carlos is working to exhibit his work at different galleries and art shows.
