"I was born in Bursa on October 15, 1990. I received training in painting techniques in 2008. I graduated from Istanbul Commerce University with a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2013. After actively practicing my profession, I started conducting research and studies in harmony with architectural objects related to art in 2014. Between 2018 and 2019, I participated in certified online education programs related to 'Art' at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, initiating my self-improvement process. I owe my versatility to my identities as a painter, architect, and designer.
For me, painting transcended being just an object and began to express itself freely. Primarily, all of my works are fundamentally abstract, depicting forms that are not drawn from the visible world. These are works where emotions are expressed freely, uniquely, and personally. To showcase the artistic power of the creative subconscious, I follow an improvisational and spiritual approach. In my abstract portrait works, spatula and brush strokes depict facial expressions, based entirely on imaginary characters.
In my art, I wanted to leave the responsibility of experiencing to the viewer. I start my works with an idea. I translate my thoughts into action. I ask myself questions like 'Why this idea?' I wonder if the viewer has 'the imagination to see.' By using biomorphic shapes, strong brush strokes, and intense color blocks, I aim to make the viewer question how they feel by touching the artwork. What I strive for as an artist is subjectivity and emotionality, fundamental human feelings. Trying to discover the hidden meaning of life... Moral judgments, personal judgments, the harmony of nature and humanity in life. I think of myself like a satellite orbiting the world, bringing every feeling and visual I discover together with my art. My work draws on all emotions related to life, both positive and negative.Abstract portrait paintings typically highlight personal expression and emotions. The use of acrylic paint can make these types of works more vibrant and eye-catching. When the brightness of neon colors combines with abstract forms and lines, it creates a striking effect.”
