All my paintings of water are dedicated to Maratea. It’s where I first understood the sea—not just as a subject, but as something alive. I learned to watch the waves, to listen to their rhythm, to follow their movement without forcing it. Every piece I make carries that first connection. It always l...

''At the core of this artist's work is a study of contrasts, rooted in a deep appreciation for the tactile and sensory experience of architecture. His passion for forms and their relationships is particularly evident in his work's dialectic and dualistic dimensions, which explore the tension and interplay between opposing forces such as darkness and light, fullness and emptiness, and organic and artificial. He embraces the productive conflict that arises from their interplay. After laying his technical and theoretical foundations in architecture and design at "Federico II University" in Naples, Giuseppe pursued a master's program in Interior Architecture at "ZUYD Academy of Architecture" in Maastricht to expand his skills and knowledge, as well as refine his artistic vision. Completing his research journey are pieces such as his customary painting and devotion to craftsmanship, using a wide range of materials including wood, paper, cardboard, plastics, canvas, and textiles. He employs a variety of techniques, such as carving, casting, and painting, to bring his artistic vision to life. All these elements have contributed to constructing both his scientific and professional identities, as well as his personal character, and reflect his deep reverence for the ancient traditions of craftsmanship and the enduring beauty of natural forms. His creations seek to awaken the senses, connecting the viewer to the materiality and emotional essence of the built environment. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, particularly the sea that surrounds his native land, his works are a synthesis of new scenarios and ancient trajectories, combining his forward-looking vision with a passion for the classical tradition. The scenarios that emerge from his projects capture the power of sensory experience with a melancholic tone, immersing the viewer in a polarized space. Lastly, his research elucidates a yearning for forms that embody humanity due to being grounded in philosophical contemplation.'' (Sara Pastore, 2023)
