Contemporary visual artist Dodd Holsapple lives and works primarily in Los Angeles California. Most notably know for his sculptural work with plants and organic materials Dodd continues to push the boundaries of contemporary fine art and environmental awareness. For the past several years, Dodd has been primarily focused on exploring the painting process, techniques, color theory and visual impact. He stopped exhibiting his works and immersed himself with "studio time" to follow the process and realize "Painting". The time, though longer than expected has resulted in a landmark series of artworks surpassing what Dodd originally set out to accomplish. The body created during this period of work is truly mesmerizing. Color theory has been developed and presents a masterful combination of additive paint materials and intensity. Surface building has been maximized to deliver an unexpected visual encounter. Technique has been mastered and delivers a unique visual dialoged which can not be captured in a photograph.
