ABOUT ORGANIC WREATHS COLLECTION Inspired by organic cells, celestial structures, coral reefs and woodland, the artist uses ink and collage techniques to imitate and amplify nature. The aim is to create visual elements that have a natural aesthetic and quality. Due to the characteristics of materials used, the process of making is very fluid and alive; the resulting elements are partly calculation and partly chance. Just like in nature, every element is unique and cannot be repeated. Cutouts, made alongside the ink elements, both echo and contrast them. The resulting effect highlights disparity between having and loosing. ABOUT THIS ARTWORK This artwork features Augmented Reality which can be experienced when the artwork is viewed via Artivive App installed on a smartphone or tablet. The AR features an abstract animation and sound of the blue whale heartbeat. The largest animal on the planet is endangered, but its numbers are currently on the rise. This work is designed to bring encouragement and hope. Mediums used: Ink on Paper, Augmented Reality (Green Screen gdsmartvids Creations, Freestock), Sound: Mixkit Sound Effects.

Ariadna Dane is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in the UK. Having grown up in Siberia and travelled extensively, the artist discovered a connection to nature which became a source of inspiration for her evolving art practice. The creative process behind Dane's work involves experimentation with ink, cutouts and shadow techniques to imitate and amplify nature. Dane creates forms and textures with natural aesthetic qualities, reminiscent of plants, organic cells, celestial structures, minerals or fossils. Due to the nature of materials and techniques used, the process of making is fluid and alive. The resulting forms and textures are partially chance and partially calculation; the outcome of both ceding the artist’s control over the process and being acutely aware of the development of forms and textures. Just like in nature, every resulting element is unique and cannot be repeated. To complete her compositions, the artist uses a combination of collage and cut-outs. While echoing shapes of the ink elements, the cutouts represent their stark contrast, highlighting the disparity between existence and nonexistence. Yet together, they serve as a testament to a harmony that transcends human comprehension. Dane's artworks elicit a sense of wonder, transfigured into a moment of quiet reflection. They remind us that every ebb and flow, every rise and fall, is part of a larger, purposeful design.
