This minimalist work is based on my atraction of reading popular science and is inspired by the Oumuamua meteorite. I tried to reduce the elements and create a balanced composition and seek to explore the ranges of black and textures, using thin layers that apply with pigments diluted with casein, looking for transparency and glazes within the dense masses of the shape of the two overlapping objects. I left a large part of the canvas empty, only treated by priming the casein glue, simulating the cosmic space.

The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame and artwork is ready to hang. Framing is not required.

It is signed on the front and on the back and is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

About The Artwork

This minimalist work is based on my atraction of reading popular science and is inspired by the Oumuamua meteorite. I tried to reduce the elements and create a balanced composition and seek to explore the ranges of black and textures, using thin layers that apply with pigments diluted with casein, looking for transparency and glazes within the dense masses of the shape of the two overlapping objects. Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940   now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour,  light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also  her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
