I saw a chart of the Pleroma according to Valentinus in a Theosophical journal and I was so fascinated by it that I decided to make a painting from it. First we start with the small white point on top representing the Monad (the unknown and unknowable Father), then the Yellow triangle emanates ...

"I was born near Venice, Italy, in 1946, but lived, studied, and worked in London for 44 years. Recently, I moved back to Italy, settling in the Lombardy region near Milan. My passion for art began at the early age of five. During my formative studies at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London (1983/86), I discovered H.E.Huntley’s book, "The Divine Proportion: A Study in Mathematical Beauty". Captivated by its concepts, I decided that my future artwork would always be structured around these principles. I also established two structural rules for my practice: first, to use only the three primary colours—Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta—along with Black and White to alter their value, rather than relying on pre-mixed paints. Second, to limit my compositions to three dominant shapes—the Square, the Triangle, and the Circle—occasionally incorporating the five Platonic solids."
