Kurt Vargö's paintings have appeared in books, magazines, annual reports, children's videos and as posters in the United States, Europe and Japan. He has won numerous awards in the Communications Arts field, and his work has appeared in prestigious trade publications including: American Illustration, Communication Arts, Big Book of Illustrations, PRINT Magazine, 3X3 Magazine/Illo. and Society of Illustrators annuals. Clients include: TIME Magazine, The New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Readers Digest, Random House/Rabbit Ears, ShowTime, The Chicago Museum/Scholastic Publications, Campisi Design, Fallon,USA, Rodale Press and more. He was a faculty member there in the Illustration Department for over twenty years. He is a founding member of the Illustrators Partnership of America, a member of the Graphic Artists Guild and has been nominated and selected by "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" as one of the Nations most respected Professors. Vargö has received a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Georgia where he currently lives and teaches full time.
