ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was done upon my return from a magical trip to Marrakesh just before the Covid19 lockdown. My aim was to create the shadows that I observed on the sand in the palm gardens, which I did by ripping strips of paper for the background. I then used rusted iron shavings for the dates in the palms, and pastels and acrylics for fronds and trunks. (Canvas painted on sides, so does not require framing)
