About The Artwork
"Parallel Lines" is a painting I have made that plays with layered impasto colour fields. The neutral grey green palette is in reference to the urban environment I am surrounded by living in a city. With "Parallel Lines" there are many number of possibilities at play, when it comes to deciphering the image. My hope is that the viewer's imagination is inspired to explore their own narrative and discover a personal connection with the artwork. This painting is a homage to the American abstract expressionism movement that included such artists as: Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler and Agnes Martin.
