I made this painting after a trip to Berlin where I met a friend, drummer, writer and teacher and we started chatting about a project he had written. It was a muscial live film score to be played over an animation about robots in a dystopian Berlin after humans are gone and robots roam the city. I eventually worked on the film as the lead artist and animator and technical director. The film is 58 minutes long and has thousands of hand-drawn assets and over 3000 shots. It was later creened in The Berlinale Live Programme 2018. I had painted this picture of the robot before I went to work on the film but it was a heavy influence for the illustrations it also is the influence of another idea. You can check the film out on www.hardhob.com and my toy on www.teddybots.com Paranoid Android doing 9 to 5. 120x120cm oil on canvas painting of the escalator in Berlins Alexanderplatz subway station.

Street artist, oil painter and also an award winning Director editor for a documentary feature film. Currently working on projects connecting art with science through street art and stencil painting. That space in betweeen is the moment after you leave but before you get there. I try to reflect these moments through faceless astronauts. My oil painting on the other hand is more of a study of personal painting and through urban landscapes, lights and reflections.
