**Faranak Siami-Namin (Fara)** Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1960, Faranak Siami-Namin is an accomplished architect and artist. Growing up, she traveled extensively throughout Iran due to her family's occupation, which exposed her to diverse cultures. From childhood, she developed a passion for painting and drawing. She graduated with a Cum Laude BSc in Interior Architecture from Al Zahra University in Tehran, where she met the renowned Iranian painter and art critic, Mr. Aydin Aghdashloo. Under his supervision, she honed her skills and was one of the pioneering students to form their own "Group of Seven." Faranak's education included intensive studies in Art, History of Art, and various media. After marrying in 1980, she continued her studies while raising two children. In 1987, she moved to Sweden for two years, where she studied the Swedish language and literature. Over the years, she lived in Iran, Sweden, and Canada (Vancouver and Toronto), finally settling in Richmond Hill, Ontario, in 1993. Her career includes a desktop publishing and design business started in 1994 in Toronto. Faranak's artistic endeavors encompass a wide range of productions, including paintings, portraits, architectural design, and graphic design. She also studied AutoCAD, Building Inspection, and the Ontario Building Code at a well-known college in Toronto. After becoming a single mother in 1995 and enduring hardships following a car accident in 1999, Faranak's work reflected her experiences, resulting in a series of dark, small-sized paintings and drawings. She has exhibited her art in Sweden, Vancouver, Toronto, and Iran, including participating in a joint charity exhibition in Toronto. Faranak is a devoted believer in God, animals, and humanity, adopting a vegan lifestyle to advocate for the voiceless. Most of her exhibitions support charity, with profits contributed to organizations like the Red Cross and Missing Children Funds. Two of her paintings were purchased for display by Alströmer Högskola in Sweden, honoring significant figures in Swedish history. Fluent in four languages and an avid traveler, Faranak's sophisticated and cosmopolitan art reflects her vibrant life experiences. She embraces various media and techniques, stating, "She follows her feelings affected by reality when creating art." She humorously refers to her style as "FeeFeelism." Currently residing in Toronto, Faranak is adapting to a new lifestyle after challenging years.
