About The Artwork
The inspiration for this painting came from a visit to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We wondered over to the paddocks where they saddle and organize the animals for the trail ride. He was waiting to bring up the rear with the spare mules. The scene had a zen quality to it. I painted it in acrylic on canvas board my preference is to use some sort of panel, I like the the ungiving nature of the surface.
