My name is Anthony Tartaglia, a Greek/Australian artist based in Melbourne. From a young age, I have had a natural affinity for art, particularly painting. It wasn't until my early thirties that I decided to embrace my passion fully and pursue painting as a profession. I primarily work on canvases and paint Greek marble statues, but I enjoy exploring various surfaces and textures. My preferred mediums are spray paint and acrylic, though I’m always eager to experiment with new techniques and materials. I also offer limited edition prints for those seeking an accessible way to enjoy my work. My inspiration is deeply rooted in Greek culture, encompassing mythology, ancient history, and modern influences. I love incorporating vibrant colours and graffiti elements into my pieces, giving them a contemporary twist. My goal is to create art that bridges the gap between ancient and modern aesthetics while fostering an appreciation for Greek heritage in today’s world. I see myself as a modern-day custodian of my ancestors' artistic legacy.
