About The Artwork
This painting conveys the uncanny feeling one can get when staying alone in a hotel room. In this case the interior space is rich and opulent; full of luxurious traditional furnishings rendered in a warm colour palette. But when one examines the room closer they will notice a lamp pushed off a table and a telephone pushed off a desk. I designed a rich and luxurious room and married it with unusual recollections from my own sleep paralysis to create an unforgettable work of art.
