About The Artwork
Using a solid wood panel, this work itself has an unique shape. shamefully I forgot the type of wood that my frame maker used, but has 45degrees cut in the back so it pops out on the wall. I used Korean rock pigment mixed with acrylic medium for the background wash. Slightly heavy but can be easily hung with nails :) This is one of my favourite work because I love the weight of the work when I hold it has a distinctive wood pattern.

Recently moved to Castlemaine, Yuna Chun is currently exploring how one's living experience evolves in response to their environment. Her work, painted with acrylic on wood panels, depicts the forms of urban structures combined with vibrant colors, creating hard-edge geometric patterns. Since moving to regional Australia from Metropolitan Korea, Chun has discovered her curiosity in Australian flora and fauna, inspiring her to experiment with a new artistic style. Born in Seoul, Yuna Chun earned her BFA from RMIT University in 2011. Following nine years in Australia, she initiated her artistic journey in Seoul and has been working between Korea and Australia.
