About The Artwork
"Chinese dog, Chinese flower" is a work that begins as the need to honour my youngest son, as it appears in the name of his badge, Kublai Kan. In an almost unreal atmosphere, with saturated colours and an unconventional point of view, he looks at us from the centre and asks us to be part of that moment. A Chinese rose, yellow like the sun, embroidered by me, thick, maternal, feminine and strong, looks towards the animal, admiring him, offering him protection, life, warmth and happiness. The floor in an intense pink and with an exaggerated perspective collaborates with the composition giving movement to the work, while the vegetation in bluish greens and small red flowers, painted and embroidered, accompany and protect the queen. Royalty made up of a dog and a flower, isn't that wonderful? Once again, the immortalisation of time, the crystallisation of perfect moments that seem magical and that we do not want to forget, are the themes of my work.
