About The Artwork
A Dakini is a Tibetan female protector. From this iconography she is fearless, brave, and expresses female power as well as beauty. Normally she rides a donkey. In my childhood in communist Hungary, where the only choice for girls to buy a doll in the toy shop, was a Barbie doll. For many of us the example of a sexy woman is Barbie. This is why I placed her pose on a picture where we normally meditate on asian figures. Since our mind work with inner hidden symbols, I found that Barbie represented my own female sexuality . Therefore, Barbie was my Dakini. The donkey became my little pony.
