Acrylic and spray paint on canvas Discover "Placebo" by artist Gaëlle Wagner, a work that embodies the quest for happiness and optimism. This generously-sized canvas is a visual ode to the search for joy, in the manner of artists and poets who have celebrated the inner light of the soul. The bright, luminous colors that make up "Placebo" evoke an explosion of optimism. Like Romantic poets such as William Wordsworth, who found inspiration in the beauty of nature, Gaëlle Wagner reminds us that happiness can be found in the simplest details of life. This work is a celebration of the human ability to see beauty and joy even in the darkest moments. Like the Impressionist artists who painted light, Gaëlle Wagner captures the inner glow that shines in all of us, inviting us to cultivate optimism. "Placebo" is a canvas in dialogue with poets like Emily Dickinson, whose verses resonated with inner optimism, or Robert Frost, who celebrated the road less traveled. The artist encourages us to explore our own path to joy, to seek the light in the darkness. Beyond the quest for happiness, "Placebo" is a work that reminds us that optimism is a powerful inner force. Like the artists of the Art Brut movement, who drew on their own imaginations, Gaëlle Wagner reminds us that creativity and optimism are a powerful force for good.

France
Gaelle Wagner is an experienced painter, photographer, and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. Creating spontaneously, her striking abstractions are inspired by her reasearch in both color and light. While Wagner does employ digital means in her artistic process, she also favors acrylics and spray paint on wood or canvas. « It is above all the impulsive gesture, not systematically intellectualized, that guides me to the canvas, through a vibrant explosion of colors. »
