Mykola Kozlovsky is a Ukrainian contemporary artist who works in non-figurative painting. I present to you a landscape with a pond with thick willows on the shore. It's late fall, maybe winter, but no snow. The motive is in my native village of Stupnytsia (Ukraine). I drew sketches in the open air, and one of the sketches became the basis for the composition of this painting. I did not reproduce realistic reality, but tried to simplify, limit colors, throw out unnecessary details. This allows me to better convey my impressions of the landscape. And this method is an alternative to realism, which is not suitable for me, for my temperament. Materials: canvas, oil, varnish. Twists into a tube.

Mykola Kozlovsky is a Ukrainian contemporary artist who works in non-figurative painting. Born in 1994 in Stupnytsia village, Lviv region. Now lives and works in Lviv, Ukraine. Art education: icon painter, religious painting. Admiring the landscape from nature. I like to use the principle of three-stage painting in a modern way I was born and raised in a small, beautiful village, surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes. That's why I mostly paint landscapes in nature. The basis of my art is a harmonious composition, this is a common feature of any painting: from the Renaissance to abstraction. Color has the main importance in my art, I do not copy the colors of nature, but combine colors harmoniously as in nature. I rarely mix colors mechanically, but mix optically, or use pure color. The main source of inspiration for me is sunlight and forms of nature. My abstraction is based on the constant movement and change of matter in space and time. For example: a tree grows from a seed, grows under the influence of sunlight, ground, gravity, air, the tree becomes a whimsical, unpredictable shape This tree is a sign of its time. Then the tree dries up and dies, and becomes food for new plants that will go through the same cycle. This is the fate of all living things. I often observe this in nature, and it is the basis of my abstract perception. And that's why I believe that for me the form is the main thing and the content is secondary. And that's why I consider my paintings close to abstraction, but not pure abstraction. I draw on paper, cardboard, canvas; I use pencils, markers, acrylic, oil. I often combine acrylic and oil.
