My painting "Ponte di Castelvecchio (Verona)" was inspired by a recent artistic sojourn in Verona, Italy. Each morning in Verona, I would make my espresso and then dive into my new oil paintings inspired by the landscape and history of Northern Italy. The Renaissance bridge in my painting crosses the Adige River and leads the viewer into the hillside beyond. A light rain falls gilding the scene in breaking sunshine. I painted "Ponte di Castelvecchio (Verona)" as an homage to a city I love.
