Popping Candy is part of the Supawan collection, one of four paintings on display at the Supawan restaurant in Kings Cross, London, between Summer 2019 and 2020

Popping Candy is a vibrant large abstract composition using clay, acrylic paints and pouring paints on a stretched canvas. Popping Candy was named after the painting was finished and although he usually likes to use ambiguous painting titles (allowing the viewer to see what they want within his work) the energy and childish fun within this painting warranted a fun title.

The vibrant blue, yellow and orange tones fizzle over the pink background, creating beautiful detailed sections which are further enhanced by the cracked clay background. Two rivers of dark purple pouring paint snake their way across the canvas and provide a beautiful dark contrast to the bright painting.

Popping Candy measures 90cm x 90cm and is set within a white stained oak frame measuring 93.5cm x 93.5cm.
