This piece was inspired by a photograph I took at sunset in Port Angeles, Washington, of a flock of cormorants hanging out on an old abandoned pier next to the ferry terminal. This piece won Best of Show in the 2016 California Art League's Flight & Flow Exhibition.

I am a geeky web developer with a background in photojournalism. I spent most of my life thinking I was not able to draw or paint.
