Yelisey Lobanov is a realist painter and motion designer currently based in Moscow. He started to draw using various techniques since he remembers himself. Mostly self-taught, he studied CG and digital art along with drawing and painting methods. His studies in still life, portraiture painting, figure drawing and anatomy continued into classical art techniques at Moscow State Art Academy of Stroganov. Yelisey explains his work by saying, "Inspired by the Old Masters' methods and techniques, I combine those with my own artistic style to express my vision of people and the world around me. In my work I'm focused on the exploration of the feelings and the inner thoughts of my characters under conditions of today's restless and dramatic life. I believe that the face and pose of the person tells more than words he or she says. Basically, I try to capture the different shades of human nature."
